PRIVACY, PLAINLY
Your simulation stays
on your device.
PICULab does not send your simulated patient settings or waveforms to the developer. You can choose to share limited usage statistics to help improve the app.

Inside the app
PICULab stores its settings and patient profiles on your device. A local, device-specific record keeps the start and latest observed time of the 24-hour preview. That record is not synchronized through iCloud or sent to the developer.
You can choose to export and share a simulation file. Where that file goes is your choice; PICULab does not automatically upload it to a developer service.
Optional usage statistics
Optional usage sharing is available starting with version 1.0.1 (build 3). Share usage statistics in Privacy is off by default. Earlier builds, including 1.0.1 (2), do not send these statistics.
If you turn it on, PICULab sends feature openings, app visits and purchase/restore button activity, with temporary random references, event time, app version and whether you use an iPhone or iPad. These statistics help us understand which features are useful. They do not include patient settings, names or contact details.
You can turn sharing off in Privacy at any time, including from the access screen. Turning it off stops new collection and clears pending events from the app. Event receipts are kept for up to 30 days and daily totals for up to 400 days. There is no advertising tracking and sharing is not required to use or purchase PICULab.
Purchases and reports
Apple handles pricing, payments and purchase restoration. PICULab reads verified purchase status to unlock lifetime access. We do not receive your payment-card details or require a PICULab account.
We use Apple’s purchase/refund notifications and aggregate sales reports for private app performance reporting, separately from optional app usage sharing. The service retains purchase status and a protected transaction reference so repeated updates are not counted twice. These transaction records currently have no automatic expiry. Dashboard notifications expire after 90 days; aggregate daily sales reports after 400 days. Reports are limited to PICULab, and currencies are kept separate.
Apple’s own services are covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
Hosting and this website
Cloudflare hosts the website and private reporting services and processes network information needed to deliver and protect them, such as IP addresses and request headers. The application does not save those network fields in its usage database. The website has no advertising trackers or website analytics.
Contacting the developer
When the contact form is available, it sends your message and any name or email you choose to provide to the developer’s private support inbox. Name and email are optional. Include an email if you would like a reply.
Messages are used to handle support and feedback, kept for up to 90 days, then deleted. The site does not send an automatic email or add you to a mailing list. Do not include patient-identifying information, health records, passwords or payment details.
Cloudflare Turnstile helps protect the form from spam and may process browser and network information for that purpose. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Questions or removal requests
Use the contact page to ask Dr. Osamah AlGhamdi about privacy or request removal of information. Contact availability is shown there. We may need enough information to identify the record you mean. Anonymous aggregates cannot be mapped back to a person for individual removal.
Changes
If the way PICULab handles information changes, this policy will be updated. The date above shows the latest revision.
